CHRISTMAS

Christmas Scene!

In class today we made a Christmas setting where the snow falls and my Santa sleigh moves around the screen! I made all of the sprites my self eg: the Santa sleigh, snowballs and icicles.
I think that this is a quick and easy scratch game you could make at home and would enjoy.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Python Quiz (first try)

Today I have learnt how to start using Python and making a new quiz, there will be the same questions as my old quiz but just it is now in python instead.

Why it doesn't work!

My blog doesn't work because my sprites are all mixed up and make the quiz go wrong, all it says is hello, so the teacher, me and my friends have tried to fix it but it still is not working so if you do try out this method try to see where I have one wrong and then comment.

Scratch Strategy!

TESTING STRATEGY & PLAN
I will test my quiz to make sure it works while I create it. I will also test it after I have finished
coding to make sure it works fully as planned. I shall do the testing myself but I shall also ask
...........
to test certain parts of it. I shall be a test buddy for ......
Here are the tests:-
Test 1: The program must have clear instructions for the user.
Test 2: The program must be error-free
Test 3: The program must have meaningful variables.
Test 4: The program must be documented well in the blog so that I can come back to it at a
later date to make alterations to it if needed.
Test 5: The quiz has to be generated in question number order.
Test 6: The program has to keep a score of all the correctly answered questions.
Test 7: Be able to play the quiz over and over again without having to exit scratch and then re-opening it again.
Test 8:To understand the quiz easily.
Test 9:Make the quiz run smoothly.
Test 10:Sprites work properly when clicked.
TESTING
Add screenshots to each of the test items above as evidence that you have tested them. For each test, explain
the various states of the program (e.g. show what happens when the score increases).
EVALUATE
In your blog, evaluate how well your quiz works. What are its strengths? How could you improve it further if you had more time?

Scratch Sprites

For the pictures that you see i have updated a few other sprites with some new commands. For the first picture you have to do the same for each of the different letters and remember that there are 5 copies of each sprite! For the second picture all i have done is made sure that the costume is right eg:(Q1, Q2, Q3 etc) then make sure that the sprites know that if you answer it wrong then they will send you to the fail screen or they will just stay the same if its right and say something like correct!

Question and Answer sprites for Scratch

Firstly I made a background that I liked and thought would fit my theme and I then made a few different sprites like a question box a answer box and 3 sprites that were in the shape of A, B & C i then copied each sprite 5 times and gave them a different name for example: Question 1-5. You then have to make some answer sprites that will pop up depending on if you get the answer right or wrong and it will then either give you a point or not.

Scratch Posts

The second option is better because it is quicker and more efficient if you are i a hurry or just want it to be smoother. When you are writing in code like the second one then it could help you in the future.

Stay safe online!!!

1)      Don’t post any personal information online – like your address, email address or mobile number.
2)      Think carefully before posting pictures or videos of yourself.  Once you’ve put  a picture of yourself online most people can see it and may be able to download it, it’s not just yours anymore.
3)      Keep your privacy settings as high as possible
4)      Never give out your passwords
5)      Don’t befriend people you don’t know
6)      Don’t meet up with people you’ve met online.  Speak to your parent or carer about people suggesting you do
7)      Remember that not everyone online is who they say they are
8)      Think carefully about what you say before you post something online
9)      Respect other people’s views, even if you don’t agree with someone else’s views doesn’t mean you need to be rude
10)   If you see something online that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or worried: leave the website, turn off your computer if you want to and tell a trusted adult immediately.

I hope you follow all of these rules!
